Who we are

Northwest Dyslexia Support was founded by a Specialist Teacher in Dyslexia Support and Head of Department with over 20 years of teaching experience in the UK and internationally. Having taught in Australia, Singapore, and the UK, I bring a broad, inclusive perspective to supporting learners with diverse needs.

Throughout my career, I have worked in a wide range of educational roles, from one-to-one support and teaching assistant work with children with high levels of special educational needs, to classroom teacher and Head of Department. This breadth of experience allows me to understand learning challenges from multiple perspectives and to tailor support to each individual learner.

I hold a BA (Hons), PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and Accredited Teacher Status to support those with Dyslexia (ATS). I am currently continuing my specialist training to further develop my expertise in assessment and intervention. My work is grounded in evidence-based, multisensory approaches designed to build confidence, independence, and lasting progress.

I have been recognised for my contribution to education, including receiving Teacher of the Year award during my time in Singapore, and I am passionate about ensuring that every learner feels understood, supported, and empowered.

At Northwest Dyslexia Support, my approach is personal, practical, and learner-focused. I work closely with learners, parents, and educators to provide clear guidance, effective strategies, and tailored support that helps individuals reach their full potential.
